Job Description:

We represent a leading global independent energy company, which is active in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, as well as in refining and in marketing refined petroleum products, natural gas, and electricity.

Sourcing Team Lead (E&P)

You will be one of the leaders in the Supply Chain Management function in the organization, and you will lead in strategy planning and execution of upstream procurement and contracting for the exploration, development and production activities in the region. Reporting to the Director, you will work with the stakeholders, joint venture partner and vendors, in ensuring that procurement and contracting activities are effectively executed, with returns on investment and within time constraints. You will lead in evaluation, negotiation and selection of vendors, and also manage their performance during the course of the project. You will ensure effective contractual terms and conditions are utilized and implement best practice in contracting methods to manage risk and maximize value. You will promote innovation and continual improvement in sourcing and contracting operations and ensure its effective enforcements through constant engagements with the team.

You would have about 10 years of experience in procurement, ideally in the oil & gas sector, with good knowledge of the exploration, drilling and production operations' requirements. You would have in-depth understanding of critical contractual and commercial considerations pertaining to exploration, drilling activities, general engineering and marine related contracts. You would have good understanding of the intricacies of the production sharing contracts and would have executed multi-million dollar procurement and contracting contracts independently. You would have extensive experience in client or business partners engagement, with strong commercial understanding. You would have led initiatives independently, focused on delivering results. You excel in a highly rigorous and dynamic business environment, and able to deliver results proactively, with short timelines.
