The position that they are seeking to fill is as below:
Senior Accountant (Exploration & Production)
This position is primarily responsible for the revenue accounting of crude oil. Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities include ensuring sales are invoiced and receipted in accordance with relevant agreements. You will be responsible for processing of marketing/commission entries for different entities if applicable. You will manage the processing of vendor invoices for inspection and agency fee costs. You are accountable for cash forecasting for all crude oil receipts and payments, preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances. . You will provide audit support and assist with special projects as needed. You will be familiar with SOX processes e.g. documentation review, adherence and involvement in walkthrough testing.
You will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business field required. A Master's degree in Accounting / MBA / CPA / a Chartered Accountant certification is a plus. You bring with you 8+ years of Accounting experience; strong knowledge of oil and gas accounting principles (e.g. revenue accounting) is crucial to this role. You are proficient in SAP-FI with strong computer skills - ability to work with BI, Excel, Access, Assurenet (balance sheet reconciliation tool) and Word. You possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail. You are able to adapt quickly in a fast paced changing environment, new work processes and requirements. You are able to manage multiple tasks and work overtime in peak cycles as and when required. You have good business partnering and collaboration skills. You are independent and work effectively with all levels.
